LR tell me you guys are working on a fix to accommodate these objects consistently in WED, so am hoping to see another release soon. Plus, I'm designing Gateway scenery for X-Plane in WED and behavior of the Jetway Facades in WED changed significantly when SAM v2 was installed. Please advise if these lines also need to be removed from scenery_packs.ini. I'm guessing I keep those, nothing about the scenery_packs.ini file is documented.

SCENERY_PACK X:\XP11\X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\SAM\lib\SAM_WorldJetways/ SCENERY_PACK X:\XP11\X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\SAM\lib\SAM_Library/ The scenery_packs.ini file also has these two lines which reference the Plugins folder I have deleted the SAM and WorldJetways folders from the Custom Scenery folder and removed the respective entries from the scenery_packs.ini file, however. So if you have problems with SAM3, which will be solved within the next weeks, you can still use the old version.Another question, It is mentioned (somewhere) that SAM doesn't need to be in the Custom Scenery folder anymore. SAM2 is no longer officially supported, but will remain online. So if you notice a problem, feel free to contact us. X-Plane 11.20 introduces a new object-type for the construction of jetways. In addition, our support channel via email is still valid and now a new discord server.Īlthough we have already tested SAM3 extensively, small bugs might still be there. Hello, Here is a little tutorial for installing and activating the SAMv2 Extension SAMWorldJetways. If you want to have more information about the latest SAM version, we recommend our online help. The SAM2 serials still work, just type them into the content manager app located at Resources/plugins/SAM. For SAM3 to work correctly, any old SAM2 version should be completely uninstalled (including all extensions), including SAM Suite itself! Please keep in mind that after reinstallation all paid extensions have to be activated again. Also the activation of the extensions is done in it. We have a new tool called ContentManager, which works similarly, but now can be run both in game and externally. So if you like it especially realistic like in SAM2, feel free to disable this option.Īn important new feature regarding the SAM Suite (the installation manager) known in SAM2: This cannot be used for SAM3. Note that this can lead to optical errors. A rundown of jetways in X-Plane 11: The current default jetway model is static and does not move. This will always connect jetways to the aircraft, even if the 3D object would not actually allow this due to its dimensions. The options menu offers a few new settings, the most important one is the option "always connect jetway" which is activated by default. There is no need to update an already configured scenery.

Of course all SAM2 sceneries can still be used without any problems. In addition, there is an automatic configuration tool for Marshaller, which does the registration in seconds. Also, a VDGS display can now be used correctly for multiple parking positions. Thus, the panel image for XPlane 11’s Cessna 172 SP is in the following folder path: X-Plane 12/Aircraft/Laminar Research/Cessna 172SP/cockpit3d/-PANELS-/ With your panel image has been saved to the correct folder, it should appear the next time you open the Panel dialog in Plane Maker. I want to move my installation from Steam to LR. The Gateway isn’t open for XP12 submissions yet so artist can’t correct those issues in the default airports yet. If some of the jetways don’t work (but some do) it is likely because the parked position of the jetway is out of reach/range of the ramp start. Of course, custom jetway objects can still be included. It was my understanding that along with the XP-12 product key you would receive a XP-11 key also. The export target setting is from World Editor (WED). Nevertheless, there is still the option to set doors, takeoff position and other values individually. Airports configured in SAM3 do not require the definition of jetways or VDGS systems, these are registered fully automatically. However, we have not only made it easier to use for end users, but also for scenery developers. And last but not least, the Parking page displays the summary of times and fuel of the completed flight. On the Departure page, you can now control the third-party plugin BetterPushback in addition to the FollowMe. The selection of the runway at the departure airport and the parking position at the destination airport are directly preselected for the FollowMe. For example, during flight planning, the planned and current aircraft weight is displayed (or imported from Simbrief, if applicable).

In addition, we have adapted functions in various places. Depending on the flight phase, the available functions are displayed, which enables a fast usage. While it was previously function-based, we have now integrated all functions into the typical flow of a flight. The user interface has been fundamentally rethought. From today you can download the latest version (3.1.10) HERE.
